Wright Sentar wont mow

I have a Wright Sentar mower with a 19 hp kawasaki motor. It will start and run but when I pull the button to engage the mower, nothing happens, could it be the switch? the blades are free and not hung up and the safety switch is good. Ant ideas? Jeff
