troubleshoot dewalt dw744 table saw

The motor for my Dewalt 744 Table saw sounds like it is missing or scrapping against something. I have cleaned and cleared all exposed areas near the blade, but still have the same symptoms. Is it possible the motor is going bad? It has been a good saw with lots of use.

Hi,
Turns out there are more than one model 744s. However eraplacementparts.com seems to have a good listing of them. Do not what the differences are without looking over the breakdowns extensively. See:
