Toro self propelled mower won't start

My 2002 toro personal pace guaranteed to start mower won't start. Spark plug is new, filter is clean. It fires and runs for a couple of seconds and then dies. If I prime again it will do the same thing. Can't get it to keep running. What could be the problem?

I guess the guarantee to start has expired. LOL
You have a fuel problem. Check to see if it has one of those minature filters on the gas line to the carb.

Sounds like moisture/water in the fuel to me.

I went through two Toros. I had a gardener and I was only using it when he was a no show. Each time I would try to start it in 6 month or so intervals. I drained the tank. Put carb spray in the carb and could only get it to fire for a second. Telling me there was a spark but no fuel. Each time I returned it to Home Depot and without any argument they let me get a new unit. I went thrugh two Toros and finally upgraded to a Honda. I think I will be much happier. A few more bucks but a lot less stress to deal with. Sorry Toro. I tried but your product stinks. Go Honda. I love thier generators too!
