Simplicity regent 12 riding mower

Asked May 6, 2011, 01:03 PM — 4 Answers
I have an older model tractor that after a large rain I can't get it fired up, it almost did the first time I turned the ignition but now it just keeps turnig over but won't crank, I changed the fuel and checked filter, worked fine the other day, could I have fouled a plug, would the motor keep turning over if I did

Remove spark plug wires , and spray some WD40 in them and put them back on and try. If its water the wd will displace it.

Check gap on plug.
Might check compression.if over head valve ,might pull valve cover and make sure valves are moving up and down.
