    Craftsman riding mower 917.287080 will not engage the drive belt.
    My craftsman riding lawn mower 917.287080 will not engage the drive belt... any suggestions?

    Which belt, transmission or blades? Both have a idler pulley that puts tension onto the blade when the proper handle is moved. Check for the travel of the idler arm under the mower. Operate the handle but with engine off and spark plug wire pulled
