Craftsman Lawn Tractor Mower Won't Engage

I have a 18.5 HP Craftsman Lawn Tractor, model # 917.274811. It starts fine but the mower won't engage. The attachment clutch lever seems to have the same tension, and the drive belt seems fine. I've looked and can't see any obstructions. Any ideas?

How much trouble is it to change the drive belt on a 15.5hp Sears Lawn Tractor? Seems like the speed of this lawn tractor has slowed down. I am assuming that the drive belt could possibly be stretched. Any onther ideas?

I have a 10 HP Craftsman lawn tractor that will not move. The clutch works and it goes into gearbut the flat wheel spins and the gear wheel seems too have not enough pressure on it to move. Could this be just a loose drive belt? Thanks, Charlie View more questions Search
