Scotts riding lawnmower by John Deere Belt Diagram
I need belt routing diagram (tractor and mower blade) for a Scotts riding lawnmower by John Deere. It is a 16Hp kohler command engine with a 42 in mower deck (2 belts). Where can I find a routing diagram?
    Thanks

    Hi,
Then you refer to the motion drive belt.
    Peace,

I have a scotts by John Deere with 42" deck, originally had a 17 hp Briggs but it was blwn when the guy gave me the mower. I put in a Briggs 14.5 hp which runs fineand cuts very well. My problem is the deck drive belt. The part number under the hood is 1/2" x 115 5/8" it is way too long. I tried a 114" still too long and a 112" which is too short by a little. The last one that I used was 1/2" x 113 1/2" When it broke. It was used almost three (3) months. When it broke the belt had just enough wear to get rid of the belt numberwith no nicks, cuts or abrasions. The only damaged area was the point where it looks like it pulled apart.

Any sugestions as to what brand, type or size belt I could use that might last a full summer?

    Thanks Glen

    You need a 95.87 Length, 5 " width, KEVLAR (32deg, 031 thick) cross ref # GX10851.

Whiteduster, I may have misread. Do you mean the Hydro drive belt or the mower deck belt?

You may want to check your pulleys to see if any are seized while you are replacing the belt.
