Rear wheels of Toro mower are locked
My Toro riding mower is sitting in my yard with the rear wheels locked. The motor will start, the cutting blades will rotate, but the riding mower will not budge, and it cannot be pushed. The rear wheels are frozen! What is wrong?

    Hi,
Is it a hydro? How about a model number. I could say that the brake is stuck in the "on" position. That would do it, but many other things might also. What was happening when it ceased to move?
    Peace,

Toro rider slows in drive, then won't start, wheels don't turn [ 1 Answers ]

I was mowing today when my Toro wheel horse rider model 70040 (electric start) began to slow down. I was driving along in 4th gear, and I noticed it was going pretty slow, it felt more like 2nd. I stopped, backed up, thinking there may have been something under me slowing me down, and it reversed...
