overhead valve adjustment for 18.5 hp (b&s) sears lawn mower
My Sears lawn mower(LT3000) needs adjusting. When I turn it off, it stops with the compression alredy building, then the battery (I have had this checked and it is good) won't turn it over. I can turn it manually just a small amount, then it cranks, but it is getting harder and harder. I sure would appreciate some help with this problem.

first run the engine for five minutes.
okay then you must do this for each cylinder.
remove spark plug
insert screwdriver in the spark plug hole,
get the piston to TDC on compression,
then go 1/4 INCH past TDC.
adust to .005"
