Murray snowblower transmission problems?

Have a Murray 5/24 snowblower in excellant condition and this is the first yr of having problems , what it does is when engaged into gear forward or back it will not power the wheels ? Any thing besides the linkage I should check? Like I said 9 yrs. With no problems until now . Thanks for any help.

Hi maxnos,
check the rubber on the drive wheel. You will have to remove the bottom plate to see it. Hope this helps.
