    Murray Lawn Tractor will not engage the trans
    iI have a Murray lawn tractor that will not endage the transmission. When I release the lever from the push mode to the drive mode it's still in the push mode. It's a model 425620X92A.

    Check belt and if pulleys are spinning then your trans pulley may not be set properly causing it to spin alone without moving the shaft, happened to me also

I have a 18.5 HP Craftsman Lawn Tractor, model # 917.274811. It starts fine but the mower won't engage. The attachment clutch lever seems to have the same tension, and the drive belt seems fine. I've looked and can't see any obstructions. Any ideas?
