MTD lawn tractor clutch pedal sleeve slips off

I have been having a problem with my clutch pedal sleeve slipping off and wondered if anyone else has had that problem. My pedal has no retaining ring or fastener how should I fix it?

yes, lots of people have that problem, when you can allow it to set for a couple of days, remove the sleeve and place clear silicone inside the hole and slip it back onto the pedal rod. have some paper towels ready because it will ooze out the opposite end. let it set for a couple of days and allow it to set well.
