lawnmower battery dead

I have a Murray 12 HP riding lawnmower. I put a new battery on it last summer, but have let it go dead over the winter. Can I jump start it from the car?

Bring it back to life with a battery charger. Slowly. Trickle charge.

It is a 12-Volt system so the short term answer is yes, but like dave says put it on a charger.

you could get a charger from walmart for under 20.00 and let it charge overnight. Your problem would be solved. You could also use this charger for your car or moterbike if needed.
