John deere L110 will not stay running - I who what it is
Here is the problem. For the past few years I had to jump start the mover due to the battery never charging. This year I had to move to the starter for the positive because it would not jump from the switch. A few times it worked and would stay running. Now the thing will run if I spray fluid into the carb but dies as soon as I stop. I decided to jump it and get it running and then connect the jump battery to the fuel cut of solonid screwed into the bottom of the carb bowl. It ran like a champ. Now my problem is I don't know what to fix or how to fix it. Does it have an alternator, is the key switch bad. Is there a way to wire around it and put in a kill switch. Where can I find power if the battery is not good?

I found the problem. The battery had a dead cell causing the shut-off solenoid to not get power. This cause the carb to not get fuel. I bought a new battery and it worked fine. Now I have to figure out why the switch will not crank it and why it is not charging

I have a 2003 John Deere L110. At the beginning of this mowing season, when I cranked it, the engine tried to crank with it in the run position and stopped cranking in the crank position! Then it just stopped cranking altogether. I replaced the ignition switch and that did not help. I replaced...
