My John Deere L110 Will Not Start

Went to start the lawn mower this year and it wouldn't turn over, jumped the battery Battery was replaced last summer) and it ran fine for a little while (didn't cut grass, just checking it out) The next time I started it I needed to jump it again, started to cut the lawn and after a few minutes it started losing power and stalled, noticed a little low on gas so I filled it up and started it again the next day just to make sure that's all it was. Had to Start by jumping again! Let it run a little and then shut it down. Went to start it later and nothing, tried to jump it again and now there is a click and nothing else. Any possible suggestions to what it might be? Bad sparks, starter, etc...I'm not familiar with fixing these sort of things but am trying to do what I can before having to bring it in to mechanic. Thanks for any help!
