Need info on 42" Weed Eater lawn tractor

I just bought a used 16.5 HP 42" mower and am needing parts and service manual. I changed out the bowl under the carb and the spark plug. It ran for about ten minutes then started missing and had no power. It quit and wouldn't start until it cooled. The disengage lever to allow the mower to be pushed fell off and I have no clue where it goes. I would like to fix it and use it if possible but don't know where to find books and parts.
Dave
