How to remove mower deck from Cub Cadet 1863, adjust hydraulic lift
Hi all. Last year I bought a GREAT used 1863 with 320 hours and now it only has 340 on it. It is a joy to own and mow with. My question is this: I am servicing it before mowing this spring. I have lubed it per the manual, changed the oil/filter, hydro fluid/filter, and so on. I want to service the deck, clean it out underneath, sharpen the blades, etc. I've looked at it and am not sure how to remove the deck and don't want to do something stupid to it by not inquiring first. How do I remove the deck and reinstall it? Also, I've noticed that when I use the automatic lift and mow versus letting the deck down completely (I adjusted the rolling wheels to stop at the height I want to mow at), the deck leans to the left slightly. Looking under the frame, I see two silver rods holding the deck in its suspended state. I can see that the left rod seems to stick further down than the right one. I'm not sure how this happened (maybe inadvertently stepped on it in elevated state?) How can I adjust the hydraulics or the mounting rods to re-level the deck or might it be damaged up inside the frame and not be adjustable? TIA for any suggestions...
