Take and sand the part of the coil towards the flywheel, and the flywheel itself, make sure the connections are good and tight, gap the coil at .10, I just use a peice of paper or dollar bill. Get the coil close, tighten it it down, but leave it loose enough you can tap it with a hammer to move in inwards, and gap it till the paper comes out with a little tugging, but doesn't tear. Spin the flywheel and adjust for any catching. And try a new plug gapped at .30 while your at it.

If this doesn't help, try the coil without the kill wire. If this still doesn't do it, well the coil itself.

Btw, did you replace the flywheel key and torque it down to spec? briggs has a torque spec page on this, on they're website. If you don't torque it down right, you'll shear the key not soon after you start it.
