Remove the mower deck. This will allow better access to the drive belt.

There may be two pins that keep the belt on the rear most pulley. Those must be removed.

There are also two belt retainers at the front pulley. Those can be loosened enough to get the old off and the new on.

Place the new belt on the front pulley first and secure the retainers there. Then work the bely over the top of the rear pulley. It is a tight fit getting it between the pulley and the frame.

Depress the clutch/brake pedal and lock in place. This will allow enough slack to work the belt into position on the idler pulley.

Replace the retaining pins next to the rear pulley.

Before replacing the mower deck. Take her for a ride around the yard, starting and stopping several times to be sure the belt stays in place.
