Hi.

I wonder if anyone can help me. My partner did a lot of mowing with our ride on mower (which has worked wonderfully for years), it started to smoke quite a lot, blue smoke.

I cleaned the air filter which has oil in it. I changed the oil checked the level.

Now it starts ok, runs ok some stutters without the mower blades engaged, when the mower blades are engaged it smokes a lot and the engine struggles.

I suspect the oil seal has gone and I need to do an engine re-build.

Any ideas?

It is a 28N707 1173-E1 Briggs and Stratton.
