    Adjust valves on 14.5 Briggs and Statton Engine
    I need to know how to adjust the valves on a 14.5 hp OHV I/C quiet engine.

    Remove the ohv tappet cover, place an old rag or shop towel under the cover to catch the oil. Remove the cover, remove the spark plug, put engine at tdc, then 1/4" past tdc. now loosen the lock nut, adjust the torx screw to where the valve is set at .005" clearance and tighten the lock nut. Re assemble and start.
