12.5/42 brigg & stratton riding mower

I have a 12.5/42 cut mtd riding mower, when I shut my engine down I have a major oil leak on the left side by my carb.
how can I tell if my breather assembly is going bad.
At the present I am changing my Filter and my plug. Do I need to replace my breather.
my mower ran smooth, do not smoke easy to start, after I stop I observe the oil running down.

Could just be the gasket around the breather, but the assembly is not very expensive, I'd probably just replace the whole thing if I had very many hours on the engine.

eldjr agrees: Thank you, I change the whole unit for $8.91 from Jack Small Engine, No Leak.
