Hi,
First of all, CONGRATULATIONS!!!! Woo-hoo....you did great! Now let's tackle the nerves.
I've participated in lots of school performances and dance and speaking in front of people. I have gotten over the nervousness by simply thinking that they feel the same way too when they're in front of people. People are usually very kind when it comes to watching others perform. Even if you mess up...so what. Just remember YOU are the one with the guts to get up there and share your talent. You're a doer, not just a spectator.
Of course it's natural to feel a little bit nervous but you've practiced and got your routine or song or dance or speech down. You are in front of people who want to enjoy the show or learn something and you are sharing. Think about how you feel when you go to a show. You are happy to be there and are looking forward to the entertainment. Don't we feel supportive when we are the audience? I'm including a link with some tips. Good luck!
