well, some kind of experience will help you even though it isn't needed. some people just have the talent. but experience in monolouges and getting up infront of strangers will help you out tremendously! the more you do it the better you'll be. i don't think personally that you have to take acting classes so you can get intouch with your inner snow cone or something. i mean, i've won awards and all i have as experience is high school drama productions. but, i think that if you are in college or any other school, try getting into some theater courses, like voice and movement kind of things. then just audition for local plays. then build up to the big ones in nearby theaters. believe me, all the more plays you do, the better you'll get! have fun! oh, beware of drama people though. we tend to be overbearing and obsessed with their own sucess! be careful! you'll be fine if you just heed that warning!
