wiring surround sound

just wanted to find a way to mute my surround sound from receiver when i mute the tv sound,, so everything will mute!!

You would have to have audio out from the tv, going to the receiver for this to work.

I would guess that the audio from the receiver is much higher quality than that from the tv so you may give up some performance to accomplish this.

I keep the volume level on the tv at zero, and if I want to mute, I just mute the receiver?
