sci fi movie or tv series from the 80s

i remember a programme vaguely from the 80s and it was about a astronaut who was exploring space.

and he got exposed to the radioactive rays from the sun and when he got back to earth he had super human powers. any ideas guys or was i dreaming it?

hhhhm? I recall Steve Aston Six Million dollar man as an astronaut. I do recall seeing a Twilight Episode about this.

This is the 1986 TV movie "Northstar", starring Greg Evigan. An imdb.com reviewer notes: "The plot is terrible - an astronaut looks at the sun during a spacewalk, and a solar flare hits him in the face. Instead of being fried or at least blinded for life, he gains super powers which only kick in when he looks directly at the sun!"
