saturday morning superhero show in the 80's

help!!! its driving me nuts. the show was on saturday mornings. its about a guy who finds he has superhero powers and he is the worst superhero ever but always ends up getting the bad guys. the only help i can give is a line from the theme song....."Believe it or not i'm walking on air, i never thought it could be so real..............." if anyone can help me sleep at night please do!!!!

The Greatest American Hero aired for three seasons from 1981 to 1983 on ABC. It starred William Katt as teacher Ralph Hinkley (or Hanley), Robert Culp as FBI Agent Bill Maxwell, and Connie Sellecca as lawyer Pam Davidson. They may have changed the name when it left prime time.

I loved this show. Ralph couldn't operate the suit because the instruction manual was missing. I almost forgot that there was a time when every user manual couldn't be downloaded from the internet. And this guy was a teacher - kinda scary that he couldn't figure the suit out after three years. Sleep well
