Kid's show form the 80's (?)

In the late 80's I remember watching a show about a man who sang with a guitar in a "forest". There was some type of animal who he left shiny things for on every show. That's about all I remember. I don't know which channel it was on, but I did watch it in the Kansas City area. I ask other people my age about it and they don't remember any such show. I know I'm not crazy!
Somebody please help me figure out what this show was!

Oh my gosh, that's it! Thank you so much! It doesn't look that appealing now, though, but I guess it was good when I was 5. But at least I'm not crazy.........
