Downloading movies to TV

I have Direct TV and also Netflix. I have one DVR through Direct TV. How do I download the movies from their sites and watch them on my TV. I don't like watching a movie on my computer. Do I need a special cable or something?

i am going to reply some non sense so i can follow this thread..
with a laptop/using netflix and the right tv which mine has a I beleive hdmi port?
and several inputs does it not hook up easily?
