Dish Network, DVD/VHS, Flat Screen TV

I have a Sony Bravia Flat Screen TV Model KDL-490V2500, Dish Network w/DVR, and a Panasonic DVD player/VCR Model SA-HT830V. I have an S-Video cable which I have connected to the appropriate inputs on the TV and the DVD/VCR. Everything is working except the picture when playing a tape. I get sound but no picture.

The Satellite cable is connected to the back of the DVD/VCR. I have Red,Green, Blue component video cables which I have connected to the DVD outputs on the back of the the DVD/VHS (other output options which I have also tried are labeled DVD and Ext.). I have connected the RGB cables to the back of the TV in the ports labeled Video In (other options which I have also tried are labeled HD/DVD In). Any suggestions?
