Hi, China,
Love is wanting to be with someone, all the time, caring for them. Love is caring about them, even more than yourself.
Love comes after some time, of knowing the person, sharing a relationship, might even take a year before you will know it.
A "crush" is like being "infatuated" with someone. You like them, don't know anything about them, but like to look at them.
Since you didn't mention your age, it does sometimes have a lot to do with Love and Crushes. Before maybe age 20, most think they are in love, but many times that isn't the case. Some talk about their "ex-boyfriends", like it just someone that you want to be seen with, and not really "in love" with.
I do wish you the best.
This is a good question. I have had crushes on people but never would ever date them. There may have been qualities that are attractive about them but there may be some that would hinder me from dating them.
If you think about it, when you first meet someone, your very attracted to them, you get along you have a connection, now most wouldn't say that its LOVE. You can't truely and honestly be IN LOVE with someone without really getting to know them. So in a sense I personally would define a crush as the very first attraction you have for another person, and then later on that crush could develop into something deeper like love. Hope that helps.
