    Are tall women attractive?
The media puts tall women on a pedestal. Models are tall, and that is what most women strive to be. I am 5'8'' (which is tall) and at my High School I feel like the shorter women are more attractive to the men. I think tall women come off as intimidating.

So is it really true? Is a model really most attractive in society?

Tall women are attractive. Short women are attractive. Medium height women are attractive. Make the most of who you are with your personal attributes. Just don't come up "short" on the inside. Inner beauty is what counts most.

The main issue is whether you want guys to think your fit or guys to think that I love this person for who she is not who she tries to be, for loving your personality and above all to not be intimidated by what other people look like. Be happy with yourself and show off your thoughts before your body because if you put out your body someone will take the body, if you put out your personality someone will take it and like you not just your body. I hope this helps.

I always felt that short woman had more "attributes" when I was in high school. They tend to develop and mature faster? After high school, those hotties tend to get fat...

This is not always true. Many of the "hotties" I went to school with are still just that. And, in general if they are going to, it happens before the 10 yr reunion. I'm past that now.

As long as you are comfortable in your own skin, then others will see that, and find that attractive in and of itself. The key to the whole thing is not what others see, but what you see. If you find yourself unattractive, do something, go to a spa, hairdresser, get a new wardrobe, whatever you think will help to improve yourself image, then work with it. Try to believe in yourself.

    Good luck

I think society creates... through fashion... its own image of itself. Models reflect society's view of where it would like to be. I think you ought to decide what YOU want to be... what works for you, and tell fashion to take a hike.

I believe this works. If you can get comfortable in your own skin, people will know it.

I am almost 5'9 and I love my height. I carry myself with confidence and truly that is all that matters. Yes back when I was in HS I felt that all the boys liked the shorter girls more. But I look back and realize that they sure noticed me too. I get sad when I see tall women slouching because they don't appreciate the elegance and regal look they have. Don't worry, Just be yourself and be happy. Concentrate on being comfortab;e with who you are on the inside as a person and others will pick up on that. Besides why worry about something you can't change?

Some men feel threatened or intimidated by someone who is taller... also a man likes to be the taller one... just because some men prefer that

Tall women look fantastic, but in general men want women that are shorter than them. I think naturally men want to be bigger than the woman they are with, I think it's a protection thing.

As for models, no I don't think they are very attractive by media standards. I understand that most models have wide set eyes so they photograph well, but these days the models are so thin that most guys find them unappealing. Also, what seems to shoot well for the camera most guys can see what they really look like and they don't tend to have the doey eyed look of the girl next door that guys really go for. I think that's it, there is something missing in the eyes, they are photographers eyes; not eyes that guys would want to fall in love with or sleep with. I think guys might understand what I am saying, I'm not sure the women will.

There is one thing tall women have that short don't, and that is legs, long legs, men love long legs they are very sexy.

Tall, short, thin, wide, curly hair, straight hair, wide-set eyes, close-together eyes, big breasts, small breasts, wide butts, small butts, blonde, brunette, red, orange, green, purple, pink...

DOES IT REALLY MAKE A DIFFERENCE?

It shouldn't matter what men like because men are basic; unless you know a man who specifically stated that he liked tall women and ONLY tall women, then I don't think you have anything to worry about. What matters is do you feel comfortable with your height? Learn to love yourself and your tall body, it could come into handy, ie: reaching for high up objects or being able to see in a crowded concert. I know I'm constantly on my tippy toes trying to see above all the people in front of me.

Are you really young, or are you Americans just a bunch of midgets? You honestly consider yourself to be tall at 5'8"?? I live in Holland, and 5'8" is the average height of women here. People would laugh at you if you said you consider yourself to be tall at 5'8". It isn't even considered slightly tall here. Some actually consider it to be kind of short. Im 5'8"too and I feel short, and have felt short all my life. So weird for me to read that you think you're tall at the same height!

The ultra-rare alpha male strongly prefers a tall, slender, attractive woman. So other women should be prepared to wade through satellite males, misogynists, closeted homosexuals, men with low self-esteem, immature unintelligent men who are focused on breast size rather then height or beauty... and innumerable other kinds of dipsticks.

Of course if a non-amazon ever did get an alpha male he would be loyal but would he be content?

    Good luck

I'm 5'8 1/2. If guys don't like me the way I am, they know where they can go. :)

I'm 5'11 and six foot in uggs or anything with even the slightest heel. I feel extremely tall when I'm out and about but for a woman I am very tall so I just have to accept it and walk tall. The worst thing you could do when you're tall is slouch and try to look smaller cause it looks a lot worse than just walking tall and being confident. I walk around like I've all the confidence in the world but truth is, I'm incredibly conscious of my height and wish I could be 2 inches smaller. I believe height is beautiful and for a girl, to be taller is nice but there is definitely a too tall for a lot of men and I think I'm hitting that height. Women small and tall can all be attractive but when it comes down to it, guys don't like dating girls that are taller than them by an obvious amount.
