In for a ride?

Okay, so hears my story
This may sound stupid and childish.. but for eh, three years? I have been BEST friends with everyone in the grade above me. I practically forget my real grade, I am ALWAYS with them.. and consider myself in the grade above me. I have not one friend in my own grade, me and my grade have never really gotten along. Like I guess some of them could me cool, but not really.. I like my friends. I may sound like a , but I just consider them younger than me. I am I am very old for my original grade, like older than some of my friends.. Well, next year they are going to high school. I know people say they are my best friends, and things won't change. But I know for a fact it will, and so do they. They are older now, and I have overheard them talking saying "I LOVE her, she is one of my best friends.. but things are different now, we're moving on" I don't know what to do, since everyone in my own grade HATES me.. I could always turn to my family, but oh wait.. don't really got one of those. Mom always gone, we don't get along. I don't have a father, I have one brother.. but he's a senior and always out, and we don't ever really talk.. I pretty much live on my own, parties every night.. but now I will have no one to be with.. What do I do? I'd really appreciate advice, thank you..

I would suggest trying to make friends with people that you'll be in school with. Also, don't forget that there will most likely be new students starting this coming school year. Makes friends with them. I know it's a totally taboo subject, but hey make friends with some of the new 6th graders. I'm sure they could use it. Besides, if your real friends are real friends they won't forget just because they are going to a different school. You just won't see eachother at school, that's all. Don't forget there is after school, weekends, and vacations...

If you don't want to intermingle with your same-age peers, then the only "older group" left at Jr High for you to hang with will be the teachers. How's your relationship with them?

That may sound like I"m making a joke, but I'm not, actually. Getting involved with them could be very rewarding in terms of opening up opportunities for you in the future.

Plus, there are added benefits. If your peers dislike you now, they will abhor you if you are a full-blown Teacher's Assistant, but they will have to be nice to you anyway and you may find you have some measure of power next year.

Just a thought. Can't be worse than being completely alone...although the faculty probably won't "party every night" with you.

ChihuahuaMomma agrees: Ah, good point! Although I was a teacher's assistant and no one hated me.

you say everyone in your grade "HATES" you. Why?
Are you mean or disrespectful to them?

And you can still have the friends you have now, you just won't see them in school. And Ch.Momma is right, if your friends are real friends, they won't forget you just because they don't see you in school.
