I like this guy but he is older than me

So I know this guy who is 14 and he asked me out but I'm 12 and my mom doesn't let me date yet but I'm turning 13 in august and I really like this guy and I want to talk to him but my mom picks me up after school and he picks up his brother so I just smile at him
Please tell me what you think.Am I to young to be thinking about dating?Should I tell my mom how I feel about him?Please help me ASAP

Your mum's in charge,so you must go by her rules.

You're not yet 13,so why not be with a group of friends who do fun things together-with your parents permission.

There is nothing wrong with talking to him, but your parents set the rules and I agree 12 is too young to date.
