Yeah, I know this is kind of a shallow question, but I can't really help it. I've been feeling like crap about my appearance lately because my guy friends are always commenting on how hot some girls are, and it makes me feel bad. That's not the part that I'm insecure about, though. I'm insecure because I'm friends with my ex's close friend and I was telling him why I felt bad and he said that I wasn't ugly. Then I asked if my ex thought I was pretty (dumb move, but I can trust him and we are really close buds) and he said he thinks so. Then I asked "what do you mean?" and he said that my ex really liked my personality and he doesn't know if he thought I was pretty. Then he bounced back by saying that he did because we danced together, etc. but I don't know if he's lying or not and now I feel like if my ex doesn't even think I'm pretty then what... It also bugs me cause I don't think I'm over him...

You should stop paying so much attention to what others think about you. If you think that you look good, then who cares what anyone else thinks?
Your ex obviously will think that you are pretty (because he wanted to be your boy-friend at one point). But it was a stupid move to ask him.
Have fun with your boyfriend and just be happy about yourself. Only you can decide what to think about yourself, don't let peer pressure change you.
