Honestly you just kind of have to push yourself out of your comfort zone. Its easy to not try and talk to people its hard to try and talk. You kind of have to change your thinking as well. Instead of thinking "oh man if I say something everyone will think I'm an idiot" start thinking positively about everything and instead think about how interested people will be in hearing what you have to say. Every time you open your mouth not everyone is going to be supportive or even give you open arms but keep trying.

Every time you start having those negative thoughts acknowledge them and then say "nope not listening to that, sorry you're wrong". Soon enough your brain will correct itself. Its all of matter of trying to correct how you think. Instead of trying obsessing on the thoughts that psyche you out you just acknowledge them, negate them and replace it with a positive thought.
It's actually how I got myself to be more outgoing as a teenager.
