Well me and my boyfriend have been together for 8 months and I've been not a very good girlfriend I mean he askd me a ? The other day [[ would you find another man if I ever died?]] I said I don't know but I truly love him and would nvr do that to him now he wants me 2 prove to him that I love him I need help

Love is a commitment and a choice, not an emotion or a feeling. It takes time to "prove" love. True love is not subject to change... If you truly love him, you will never leave him. It could be a stretch for you to think about NEVER leaving him and staying with him your whole life, especially since it's only been 8 months, but that's what love is.
I don't mean to get all religious but the Bible spells out EXACTLY what love is:
Love is patient, love is kind, it is not jealous, it does not brag and is not arrogant, love is not selfish, it is not easily provoked to anger, it is not happy with acts of unrighteousness, but rejoices in what is true. Love bears all things, hopes all things, believes all things, endures all things. Love never fails. This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us, and we also should be willing to lay down our life for our brothers (or sisters.)

Love is intense and extreme. You will not always "feel" love like you do when you first get a new boyfriend. Love is choosing to love someone and "endure all things" with them no matter what.

You, and your boyfriend especially, need a clearer understanding of what love is.

I absolutely agree with jaime90. There is no better way to word it than that!! Even if you sren't a Christian, it still provides the best definition of love!
