You're a minor. He is of legal age. "Dating him" persay is not illegal, but if you had sex with him then yes, it is illegal and he could be prosecuted.

Darlin, why are you dating a guy that is 18? I know that 14 year old guys are sometimes immature, that an "older man" is exciting, that you feel special to be liked by a guy that's older, but honey, don't wish your childhood away.... Don't get involved with a guy that is this much older than you at this point in your life. When you're 22 and he's 26 that is a different story, but not when you're 14 and he's 18.

What do your parents say about all of this??

I think it is okay for you to date an 18 year old, but don't have sex with him because thats illegal.

Second of all, be aware that next year he'll be going to college and what are you going to do? How are you going to feel when he is off going to clubs and you aren't there? In my opinion.. don't date someone in high school. Don't waste your teen years in a relationship.. I wish I would have listened when my mom told me that when I was 15.

I have plenty of girl friends that are going out with guys who are 18 and 19 and are age 16...

so not much of a problem difference been that it is legal here to have sex at 16 dunno if your from the USA or UK...

you are right. Don't waste your time with a guy if you have to have sex with him and don't get him to pressure you into doing it. In my opinion you should get married before you have sex. Don't you? Not just because its illegal you don't know if you are going to stay with him your whole life until you marry him maybe in 20's or 30's.
