Hi, I am 12 years old, almost 13(but everyone says I am waaay more mature than 12), and my crush is 14. Okay, yes my problem is at least sort of typical, but I am desperate. First I’ll tell you a little about myself. I am a home-schooled Pastors kid, and he is home schooled too, and goes to my church. He comes from a very very strict family, and so do I, but his parents are even more strict. And even if his parents weren’t, home school guys are just plain SHY!!! And another thing, he’s my friend’s brother. I really don’t like those kinds of crushes, because they seem to always mess up your friendship, but I don’t think that would happen with us! Okay, so I used to have a mega crush on him when I was little, and he found out, so then it went away, for 2 whole years, or at least sort of. I was absolutely SURE about it just this year. But the other day, I went to my friend’s (his sister) house Sunday afternoon, and we did some stuff. Okay, now I’m not sure if you’re experienced at all with home school crushes, but let me tell you, they are definitely different than public school ones! When I’m over at their house, he talks completely freely with me, about movies, or websites, and stuff like that. Let me tell you what triggered my crush again. When I was over there, my friend pulled me into her room and told me that she had heard Caleb (her younger brother), and Cody (older brother, crush) talking, and Caleb asked Cody if he liked me, and he just said…yes. Am I crazy, or do you think as well, that it doesn’t mean that he LIKE likes me, but just likes me as his little sisters friend? Maybe it’s just me, but don’t you think that maybe he should have said some sort of confidentiality thing if he really did, like “promise you won’t tell?” or “why should you want to know?” I am just really confused, and I feel like I’m going crazy. Now, I’m not sure exactly what they said, but that’s what Hannah (friend) said! Ugh I feel like I will never get this answered for real. And if he did, and we both liked each other, then it would get awfully uncomfortable when I went over there!!! Please please please please help me sooooon!!!!!!! I am clueless and sooo confused and ugh I feel as though I will never really truly figure this out. The butterflies are back when I’m with him, but I conceal it very well! HELP ME PLEASE SOOON!!!

Ok well here's what i think you need to do. I really think you need to have a talk with this friends of yours if it would be okay to date her brother. Then I think it is time to go after what you want. You need to sit this kid down and say to him "So whats the deal? how do you really feel about me?" You can't sit back any longer and be afraid because the funny thing about life is that you never quite know what it has in store.

Yeh defiently agree with Jester1656 get your friends aproval then IF you get it talk to her brother.
However by the sounds of it the strictness of your family's might be an issue. It makes a relationship a hell of alot harder if your parent(s) do not support it, especially considering you are home schooled. As it would be difficult for you two to meet up outside of your houses without the intervention of your parent(s). Unless of course you live within walking distance of each other.

well if you heard him say that he likes you that is usually what it meens he does like like you, if he only liked you as a friend he would have said that to his brother.

Mmm, I have been in pretty much the same situation... except he was three years older than me and we waited till we were older. not by much, but I was fourteen and he was seventeen. I still like him and he still wants girls his own age. Your situation sounds like a regular romeo and Juliet. I think your brother probably would not like it much, but I think that you should go for it.

okay, i'm not sure if i said this, but it was his sister who heard him, not me. And I want to add something to what i said. Sometimes i think he tries to impress me. Like he said(or so i thought) that he could watch R rated movies(just for violence, and that does NOT impress me!!), when actually he can't. And he's really really good at the drums, and often plays them when i'm at their house. And i think he tries to act really smart too. And he nicknames some of my stuff. Like i had lipgloss, and he nicknamed it "shiny stuff", and i had this headband thingy and it was kinda stretched out and he called it "pink elongated rubber band thingy". yeah, i know kinda weird!

he prbably does like you. make the first move and if he says no then at least you wont worry about it anymore. sure you'll be heartbroken but is it really worth the trouble??
