Hi, I just got releasede from prison and i am ready to get my life together. I have always been interested in graphic design and architectural drafting. Hello Jinx:

Sure, you don't need a license to be a grahic designer or a drafstman.

Unfortunately, there's no money available for you that isn't available to non felons.

Hey Jinx, sorry to hear about your dilemma, and I wish I could help you. My advise to you is to go to your nearest enemployment center and they will guide you into programs to get back into the work force. They'll teach you how to use a fork lift then you go for your fork lift license. There are companies looking for this kind of help that don't scrutinize you, they give you a chance to redeem yourself. Good Luck man, I was there too so I feel your pain I too am unemployed and need work. My place where I worked was an Architectural office with CAD people who are also out of work. It's not the field to get into right now. Obama's infrastructure plan hasn't gone into effect yet. A ton of people are out of work due to the slow process of getting money released from the government to start this process.

Hi,
Hope you are either studying or working by now. Check out my advice on this link
http://www.askmehelpdesk.com/learnin...ml#post2045496

I explain that there is a program offered by the Office of Education that is cheap or free depending on your circumstances. Also, depending on where you live, they might offer graphic design type courses. The program is there to assist people to find jobs.

Check out this link to acquire computer skills while at home! Click Here: Tutorials - Online Training - lynda.com Fantastic tutorial vids on all software. It's cheap too. You have 24/7 access. It's awesome.

For the architectural drafting I would check out a community college. The courses are inexpensive and you can get financial aid.

In terms of finding a job...be clean and present yourself in a very professional manner. People make mistakes and people do change their lives around. Approach the interview with the confidence that you will "click" with the right employer and that you will get a good opportunity.

Good luck!
