I am writing sponsorship proposals to companies such as RedBull, Sony, Apple, North Face, Sony Ericsson, and Hotels. I need sponsorship for an event that I am planning for, it will be a dancing competition attracting four different styles of dance (Poppin, B-Boy, Hip Hop, House/Vogue). The demographics will be young international dancers. The prize will be 10,000 dollars and it will be a two day event, sometime in August. The competition itself seems flawless, the only problem will be an overflow of dancers and spectators. But I want the event to take place at a college for pre-lims the first day and Roseland Ballroom the second day (capacity of 3,200). But I have not booked these spots because I do not have the Capital push. Therefore I need sponsors to help me out with money and marketing their name will be advantageous to them, the problem is How long should the underwriting proposal be, How many pages, Should there be a cover letter? I have no prior event experience so will that affect me? I am a dancer and I have many dancing connects, but I have never thrown an event so big. I also need to know if its necessary to discuss every detail or leave some details out to further discuss them in a meeting, Will I even have a chance to meet with a representative or will everything be done through letters? If anybody can list key points that I need in my proposal that would be great Thank You For Your Time and Help
