Hi, Romilene!

Is this at a public or private school that's a part of a school district of some kind.

Were you not given a copy of your Contract when you started the teaching job? I've taught for many years in various school districts, and I was always given a copy of the Contract.

If you were given a copy of your Contract and have maybe misplaced it, I would simply ask for a copy of it. If you weren't given a copy of your Contract, then you have every right to have one and should ask for a copy.

Are there others who also teach where you're teaching?

Thanks!

You should have been given a copy of your contract after you signed it. If not, ask the person who is in charge of human resources for a copy. If you have a union representative at your site, they may be able to help you obtain the master contract for your district.
