What's a 4883c letter
I post to get my refund on 16 but I got letter saying they need more I'info but I call they don't know what the letter for and now I'm waiting on someone from IRS to call me bk

"Potential Identity Theft in Original Processing" doesn't necessarily mean real identity theft.
Did you pay a tax prep company?

Someone probably efiled a return using your name and SSN.
If so, expect to have to prove that you are whom you say you are during the investigative process.
