Is a VA aid and attendance pension taxable
My mom was awarded a VA aid and attendance pension in Sept 09. Will she receive a tax form(like a 1099) for reporting this income on her tax return? Is this pension taxable?

Pensions are taxable because they are considered income. She will receive the proper forms for reporting on her income tax.

I can tell you with 100% degree of certainty that the Aid & Attendance pension is TAX FREE. You will no receive any tax documents from the VA, nor will the IRS receive any documentation that the benefit is being paid. More details are provided at this page I found: http://www.veteransfinancial.com/aid-attendance/index.html

The Aid and Attendance penion is a tax free. You will not be taxed as you are with Social Security. TAX FREE means exactly that. http://www.seniorcareassociates.com
