taxes and intrest

I am on disablitiy and want to know if I can still take the intrest towards taxes? I do not make enough to claim taxes and was wondering if i can still take the intrest from the house?

Sorry, the mortgage interest is now a wasted deduction if you do not make enough in income to claim it.
