Taxes for my F-1 and H1B year

Hi,
I came to the US in Dec 2002 on an F-1 and was on F-1 till May 2006. Following graduation I was on my OPT from June-Nov 2006. Since Dec 1, 2006 I have been on my H1B. So for the year 2006, I was on F-1 for 11 months and H1-B for one month.
I have filed my taxes as a non-resident for the years 03,04 and 05.

1. How do I file my taxes for 2006? NR or R?
2. What are my deductions (Std + Itemized)?
3. Can I deduct my lawyer's fees and OPT/H1-B filing fees?
4. My employer started deducting SS and Medicare from Dec 06. Am I entitled for a refund?

Your response would be greatly appreciated.

1) File Forms 1040NR and 8843 one last time, filing as a non-resident alien.

2) Unknown, since you have not identified your home country.

3) Yes, as employee business expenses, which are itemized deductions.

4) No. You became liable for SS and Medicare the day you converted to H-1B.

Thanks for your response. I just realized a typo in my original question. I have been on F1 from Dec 2001. Came to the US in Jan 2002. Filed NR for 02, 03, 04 and 05.
Citizen of India.

The critical issue is when you got off the plane, NOT when the F-1 was granted.

My original guidance still applies.

Yes, you still qualify for standard deduction and personal exemption as an Indian citizen.
