Taxes - Abroad and change in marital status

Hi -
I lived and worked in Seattle until July 2007, and then moved to Brussels to marry. I still have residence in the US, and have to file my 2007 taxes.

1 - do I need to change my W-2 with my 2007 employer?
2 - should I file joint or separate? My husband had income in Belgium in 2007
3 - If I file joint, what type of paperwork does he need to provide? He is filing in Europe separately

Thank you!

I assume you are a U.S. citizen and that your husband is not a U.S. citizen or a U.S. resident. Your W-2 is fine. Your simplest approach is to file separately. You may owe more tax than filing jointly, but your tax situation will be much simpler. If you want to file jointly, your husband needs to elect to be taxed in the U.S. on his worldwide income. You can then claim foreign tax credits and/or the foreign earned income exclusion. These can get very complicated.
