Tax return for 2002

I was there at US in 2002 for 4 months from Sept-Dec. I got my W-2 after I went back and didn't know what to do with that. Can't I file my returns now? If file will get my returns back? Its more than 3 years and I am not sure if I can do it?

AVG:

How much did you make? If it is below $6,000, then do not both filing, as you have no legal obligation to do so.

If it is over $6,000, then go ahead and file. However, you have already forfeited any refund that you may have had coming.

Sorry about that!

Go ahead and file.

Best to keep the records straight. If you do not file, it may cause the IRS to hold up any future refunds until the 2002 return IS filed.
