Tax filings for review,

Hi,,, I have an issue, I received a letter from IRS stating that, my tax filings are subjected to review, and I need to provide my lease documents and W2 form and a some other documents, and it was stated that, failing to provide these documents would reduce the refund or disallow the refund. The worst part, is I haven't submitted these documents as I am unaware of this mail. I got this mail, to my previous address and it was too late to contact them. Would this effect my visa status or my further H1 visa filing in latter carrier.

g- this is a difficult situation. it is not the irs' job to update your address, this is your responsibility. the irs responds to the address you filed your return with. i would contact a local irs field office, you can find them in the phone book or on-line, and take the notice with you, then explain the problem. be sure to take the requested documentation with you also. i also suggest phoning the US Immigration office for council on your visa status. i tell my son i am afraid of only two things, Satan and the IRS. good luck.

The case is NOT closed if you contact them late. Go ahead and contact them to make arrangements to provide the documents they requested.
