    State Filing of 1099-MISC
I am a new LLC and used contract laborers for which I had to provide 1099-MISCs. The problem is for each contract the work was performed in one state, the contractor resides in another state and my company is based in another state. To compound the issue one of the contractors changed his state of residency during the contract. As is usual each state has different laws regarding whether I need to send them a copy of the form. It appears from my research the states where the workers were residence definitely need a copy; it also appears that my state of residency wants a copy, but do the states where the work was performed also need a copy?

Yes, the work location state DEFINITELY wants a copy of that 1099, as EVERY state taxes income earned within their state confines.
